IGLESIA DE S. MIGUEL (ALMAZÁN)

La iglesia románica de San Miguel de Almazán es la más conocida de esta localidad soriana, se data a mediados del siglo XII; es un edificio de 3 plantas, careciendo de transepto; las bóvedas son de crucería del siglo XV y otros tramos son de arcos cruzados; muy notable es el cimborrio que en su base es de sillería y en altura es de ladrillo; y en el interior la cúpula de gruesos nervios recuerda a las califales.

CHURCH OF S. MIGUEL (ALMAZAN)

The Romanesque church of San Miguel de Almazan is the best known of this locality, dating to the middle of the 12 th century, it is a building with 3 floors, lacking a transept, has ribbed vaults from 15 th century and other sections are of crossed archs; very remarkable is the belltower that in the base is of ashlar and in height its is of brick; and inside the thick-ribbed dome resembles the Caliphate constructions.

También la iglesia de San Vicente es una iglesia de estilo románico, datada en el siglo XII, a finales del siglo XVIII sufrió reformas de estilo neoclásico; hoy en día alberga el Aula Municipal de Cultura.

ERMITA DE JESUS

La Ermita de Jesús, data del siglo XVIII, es obra del italiano Pimpinela, la portada destaca por su almohadillado, heráldica de Almazán y columnas jónicas, el templo fue acabado tras la Guerra de Sucesión por Domingo Carrera, en un estilo barroco.

HERMITAGE OF JESUS

The Hermitage of Jesus, date from 18 th century, is the work of the italian Pimpinela, tha facade stands out for its padded, heraldry of Almazán and Ionic columns, the temple was finished after the War of Succession by Domingo Carrera, in a baroque style.

MURALLAS DE ALMAZAN

El recinto amurallado tiene gran interés, pues Almazán fue en el Medievo ciudad fronteriza, conservándose varias puertas, destacando las puertas de Herreros, la puerta del Mercado, la puerta de la Villa y la puerta del Postiguillo.

VISITA : Al ser exterior, la visita es libre, debes de contar con un plano o con un guía para ver todas las puertas.

WALLS OF ALMAZAN

The walled enclosure is of great interest, because Almazán was in the Medieval Age a border city, conserving several doors, highlighting the doors of Herreros, the door of El Mercado, the door of La Villa and the gate of El Postiguillo.

EL PALACIO DE LOS MENDOZA

El Palacio de los Hurtado de Mendoza, tiene datación del siglo XVI, es de estilo renacentista, se encuentra en la Plaza Mayor de Almazán, dispone de 2 fachadas, la que da al Duero es del siglo XV (estilo Gótico), y la principal es del siglo XVI de estilo herreriano

THE PALACE OF THE MENDOZA

The Palace of the Hurtado de Mendoza, dating from 16 th century, ia Renaissance style, it is located in the Plaza Mayor of Almazán, has 2 facades, the facade of the Douro is from 15 th century (Gothic style) and the main is from the 16 th century, Herrerian style.

CONVENTO DE LA MERCED

El Convento de Nuestra Señora de la Merced, es un bello edificio en ruinas, data de los siglos XVII-XVIII, de estilo neoclásico, suele pasar desapercibido para los turistas, en la fachada destacan las columnas toscazas, el frontón curvo partido y el escudo de la Orden.

VISITA : Visita solo exterior.

CONVENT OF LA MERCED

The Convent of Our Lady of La Merced, is a beautiful building in ruins, dates from the 17 th -18 th century, neoclassical style, usually go unnoticed for tourists, on the facade highlight the Tuscan columns, curved split pediment and the coat of arms of the order.

		ACCESO A ALMAZÁN Almazán se encuentra entre Soria y Medinaceli, localidad esta última ubicada junto a la A-2 carretera de Madrid-Zaragoza. ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS Los usuarios de sillas de ruedas pueden acceder a la iglesia de San Vicente, a la iglesia de San Miguel, a la Ermita de Jesús y a la de Santa María del Campanario; en todas ellas hay algún peldaño a la entrada. La visita a las puertas de las murallas y al convento de la Merced es exterior para todo el público. CASTILLO DE BERLANGA DE DUERO

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Castillo medieval de grandes torres. Dentro pueden verse un aljibe, la torre de homenaje y escudos de los Tovar y los Velasco. Aunque medieval, fue construido desde el siglo X hasta el XV, pero existen fuertes reformas del siglo XVI. Excavado por Diego San Gregorio y Roberto de Pablo.

ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS

El calendario debe de consultarse en la web: www.castillodeberlanga.blogspot.com.es El horario general es de 10:00-14:00 y de 16:00-20:00, lunes y martes cerrado (pero hay excepciones).

ACCESO

El acceso puede hacerse desde la N-I cogiendo la N-110, después la N-122 y en Burgo de Osma coger la CL-116.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

No apto para sillas de ruedas, fuertes rampas y firme muy irregular.

CASTLE OF BERLANGA DE DUERO

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

It is a medieval castle with large towers. Inside can be seem a cistern, the keep and coat of arms of the Velascos. Although Medieval, it was built from 10 th to 15 th century, but there are strong reforms from 16 th century. Excavated by Diego San Gregorio and Roberto de Pablo.

LOCATION

Acces can be made from the N-I, taking the N-110, after the N-122 and in Burgo de Osma take the CL-116.

Not suitable for wheelchairs, strong slopes and firm very irregular.

		ERMITA DE SAN BAUDELIO (BERLANGA) INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA Tiene un ábside y una nave, pilar central, con cubierta de nervios y arcos de herradura, con pinturas románicas excepcionales que fueron arrancadas y vendidas a museos norteamericanos. Datación del siglo XI (mozárabe), pero las pinturas son del siglo XII (románicas). ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS El horario de verano (abril-septiembre) es de 10:00-14:00 y de 16:00-20:00, el horario de invierno es de 10:00-14:00 y de 16:00-18:00; domingos y festivos solo por la mañana, lunes y martes cerrado. ACCESO Desde Burgo de Osma en la N-122 (Riaza-Soria), se accede a Berlanga, cruzar el pueblo. Hay cartelería. ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS La colocación de una pasarela permite entrar hoy en día a la ermita, salvando un pequeño escalón; pero hay algunos espacios a los que se accede por escaleras no accesibles.				HERMITAGE OF SAN BAUDELIO (BERLANGA) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION Has an apse and a nave, central pillar, covered with nerves and horsechoe arches, with exceptional Romanesque paintings that were ripped and sold to American museums. Dating in the 11th century (Mozarabic), but the paintings are from 12 th century (Romanesque). La atalaya es troncocónica de 9m. de altura y 5 m. de diámetro, se puede acceder al interior.

WATCHTOWER OF TIÑÓN (RELLO)

The watchtower is truncated cone with 9 m (29,5 ft) height and 5 m (16,4 ft) diameter, you can access to inside.

Medieval chronology, related to the control device of the Califal Mark.

ACCESO

A Rello se accede desde Medinaceli por la SO-132, dirección Burgo de Osma o desde Burgo de Osma por la CL-116 y la SO-132; la atalaya esta a 3 kms.

Al norte de Rello, en el camino Rello-Caltojar, tras pasar el collado de la Cerrada Blanca; también se puede acceder desde Caltojar con señalización en el mismo pueblo.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

Solo el exterior es visitaba con sillas de ruedas.

LOCATION

To Rello is possible access from Medinacelly by SO-132, direction Burgo de Osma or from Burgo de Osma by CL-116 and SO-132; The watchtower is to 3 Km (1,8 miles).

To the North of Rello, on the Rello-Caltojar road, after passing the saddle of La Cerrada Blanca; also can be acceded from Caltojar with signage in the same village.
