Almazán: Monumentos y turismo

ALMAZÁN: Es una localidad atravesada por el precioso río Duero. Desde el siglo XII comenzó a ser repoblada con el rey Alfonso I el Batallador.

Conserva hoy en día un rico patrimonio (iglesias, ermitas, conventos, casonas con escudos, palacetes, la Plaza Mayor y sus murallas medievales).

Además es un patrimonio muy variado, con el gótico, el renacentista, el barroco y el románico como estilo predominante.

Esta tranquila y bonita localidad tiene rincones preciosos que esperan a que los descubras.

ALMAZÁN: It is a town crossed by the wonderful Duero River. From the 12 th century it began to be repopulated withthe king Alfonso I the Battler.

Today it preserves a rich heritage (churches, hermitages, convents, mansions with coats of arms, palaces, the Plaza Mayor and its medieval walls).

It is a heritage of very varied, with Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque as the prevailing style.

Por el Norte puedes acceder desde Soria por la (A-15).

Por el Este puedes acceder desde Gómara por la (CL-101).

ALMAZÁN: The access by the locality of Almazan are:

From the North you can access from Soria by the (A-15).

ALMAZÁN: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay un parking pequeño, junto al rio Duero.

El aparcamiento es gratuito. La ubicación del aparcamiento recomendado es muy cercana.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

ALMAZÁN: In the locality of Almazán there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far. There is a small parking, next the Duero River.

ALMAZÁN: La zona donde se concentran los monumentos es el (Centro Histórico).

Aquí podemos ver algunos monumentos: (la iglesia de S. Miguel, la iglesia de Nª. Sª. del Campanario, la iglesia de San Vicente, el Palacio de los Hurtado de Mendoza y las murallas). A las afueras podemos ver: (el convento de la Merced).

La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 700 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio plano.

Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

ALMAZÁN: The area where the monuments are concentrated is (Historic Centre).

Here we can see some monuments: (the church of S. Miguel, the church Nª. Sª. del Campanario, the church of S. Vicente, the Palace of los Hurtado de Mendoza and the walls). Outside we can see: (the convent of La Merced).

The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 700 m. The visit takes place through a space flat.

ALMAZÁN: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana (con alguna cuesta). Hay bordillos en las aceras.

Los usuarios de sillas de ruedas pueden acceder (con ayuda) a la iglesia de San Vicente, a la iglesia de San Miguel, a la Ermita de Jesús y a la de Santa María del Campanario; en todas ellas hay algún peldaño a la entrada. La visita a las puertas de las murallas y al convento de la Merced es exterior para todo el público.

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

Vernur recomienda como área recreativa, el Parque de la Arboleda en Almazán (señalizado con cartel marrón), que se encuentra junto al río Duero, en la carretera de Soria, tiene merendero, bar, columpios y un gran bosque de árboles.
