		CONVENTO DE LAS CLARISAS El Convento franciscano de Santa Isabel, es un convento de monjas Clarisas de clausura, actualmente en activo, es un edificio de sillarejo, con grandes contrafuertes, del que sobresalen las 2 entradas la primera de arco de medio punto, y la segunda con arco rebajado y cordón. COLEGIATA DE LA ASUNCIÓN

La Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción es un templo de estilo gótico, construido sobre una antigua mezquita; en planta tiene una sola nave, la torre data de fines del siglo XVII, dentro sobresale el altar mayor barroco y los sepulcros de los duques (1619).

COLLEGIATE OF LA ASUNCIÓN

Tje Collegiate Church of Our Lady of La Asunción is a temple of Gothic style, built on a mosque; in floor it has a single nave, the tower dates from the late 17 th century; inside stands the baroquer high altar and the tombs of the dukes (1619).

SINAGOGA

La Sinagoga de Medinaceli, se ubica según todos los expertos en el enclave de la iglesia de Santo Tomas, la planimetría y su ubicación en la Judería de Medinaceli, juegan a favor de esta identificación; pero las obras posteriores han alterado mucho el edificio.

VISITA: Edificio cerrado al público, visita exterior.

SYNAGOGUE

The synagogue of Medinaceli, is located according to all the experts in the site of the church of Santo Tomas, the planimetry and its location in the Jewish gueto of Medinaceli, play favorably for this identification, but later works have greatly altered the building.

MURALLAS

Las murallas de Medinaceli son un conjunto de obras de diversas épocas, posiblemente las primeras murallas sean celtibéricas, después los romanos y los árabes dejaron su impronta; sabemos que Abderramán III reconstruyó la muralla en el siglo X, de esta época es el conocido “arco árabe”; después Alfonso I el Batallador restauro de nuevo la muralla en el siglo XII.

WALLS OF MEDINACELI

The walls of Medinaceli are a set of works from different periods, possibly the first walls are Celtiberian, then then Roman and the Arabs left their mark; we know that Abderraman III rebuilt the wall in the 10 th century, from this time is the well-known “Arab arch”; after Alfonso I the Battler restored the wall again in the 20 th century.

ARCO ROMANO DE MEDINACELI

El arco romano de Medinaceli es un arco triple, es un arco de triunfo, que repite el modelo del arco de Trajano, esta construido en opus quadratum, con magníficos sillares, sirvió además como puerta de acceso a la ciudad.

ROMAN ARCH OF MEDINACELI

The Roman arch of Medinaceli is a triple arch, it is a triumphal arch, which repeats the model of the Arch of Trajan, is built in opus quadratum, with magnificent ashlars, also served as a gateway to the city.

		ACCESO A MEDINACELI Medinaceli se encuentra junto a la A-2 (Madrid-Zaragoza), en el tramo entre Guadalajara y Calatayud. Oficina de Turismo: 975.326.347 ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS Medinaceli dispone de un firme empedrado óptimo para silla de ruedas. Visita factible al exterior de las murallas, la sinagoga y del arco romano. La colegiata tiene un pequeño escalón, pero no impide el acceso al interior.				ACCESS TO MEDINACELI Medinaceli is next to the A-2 (Madrid-Zaragoza), on the section between Guadalajara and Calatayud. Tourist Office: 975.326.347. ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED Medinaceli has a firm, optimal pavement for wheelchairs. Feasible visit outside for the walls, the synagogue and the Roman arch. The Collegiate Church has a small step, but doesn't prevent access to inside.
