CASTELO (MONTALEGRE)

El castelo de Montalegre, es un castillo medieval, se remonta al siglo XIII, construido en sillería, dispone de 4 torres (de Homenaje, Furada del Reloj y Pequeña), unidas por una muralla ovalada, tuvo 2 puertas, solo se conserva una; la torre de Homenaje de 21 m. de altura es del siglo XIV, finalmente en el contexto de las Guerras de Restauración se añadió una muralla abaluartada con revellines.

The castle of Montalegre, is a medieval castle, dates back to the 13 th century, built in ashlar masonry, has 4 towers (Homage, Furada del Reloj and Little), linked by an oval wall had 2 doors, only one is preserved; the Homage Tower of 21 m (68,8 ft) height is from the 14 th century, finally in the context of the Wars of Restoration was added a bastioned wall with ravelins.

IGLESIA DA MISERICORDIA (MONTALEGRE)

La iglesia de la Misericordia de Montalegre, se data en el siglo XVIII, es un templo construido en sillería de granito de gran calidad; la fachada es de gran austeridad con 2 pilastras laterales y acceso por escaleras; en el interior destacan las tallas de madera; en el exterior en un lateral hay una capilla, con una fuente.

El castro de Carvalhelhos (Boticas) es un castro de la Edad del Hierro, con ocupación romana; tampoco se descarta la ocupación sueva (siglos V al VII d.C.) se pueden admirar cabañas circulares y rectangulares, típicas del mundo castreño, así como los restos de una muralla.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

MONTALEGRE: Con silla de ruedas el acceso solo es factible a la iglesia por la rampa lateral, acceso con un escalón . El acceso al castillo es más complicado hay unas escaleras en la rampa de acceso, cruzando un espacio con césped.

BOTICAS: El camino de acceso de tierra es de firme muy irregular, en cuesta, solo factible con ayuda, puede haber mucha vegetación (según la época del año).

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED
