CONVENTO (MONFORTE DE LEMOS)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

En el convento de las clarisas de Monforte de Lemos sobresale la iglesia, construida con sillares, es de estilo gótico (siglo XV), mientras el convento se fundo en el (1622), en el interior podemos disfrutar del Museo de Arte Sacro, con colecciones de escultura, pintura, platería, textiles y marfiles, con piezas italianas y castellanas de primer nivel.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

Solo hay visitas guiadas de lunes a domingo, consultar en la Oficina de Turismo (982.404.715). Entrada 6€.

In the monastery of las Clarisas of Monforte de Lemos stands out the church, built with ashlars, it is of Gothic style (15 th century), while the convent was founded in (1622), inside we can admire the Museum of Sacred Art, with collections of sculpture, painting, silverware, textiles and ivories, with first rate Italian ans Castilian pieces.

La torre de homenaje de Monforte de Lemos, es una construcción de los siglos XIII-XIV, es de planta cuadrada 13 x 12 m. con hasta 30 m. de altura, esta construida en sillería, conserva matacanes y almenas, dentro hay una exposición de muebles y objetos del Medievo.

Oficina de Turismo (982.404.715). Cita previa de martes a viernes. Sábados, domingos y festivos de 11:00 a 14:00 y de 16:00 a 19:00.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The tower of homage (keep) of Monforte de Lemos is a building of 13-14 th centuries, it is of square plan 13 x 12 m. (42.64-39.36 ft) with 30 m. (98.4 ft) height, it is built in ashlar masonry, preserves machicolations and battlements, inside there is an exhibition of furniture and objects from the Middle Ages.

PUENTE VIEJO (MONFORTE DE LEMOS)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El puente Viejo o puente de piedra de Monforte de Lemos parece existir ya en el siglo XIII, pero el actual templo se remonta al siglo XVI, es de sólida sillería con apartaderos en los pilares, conectaba la zona vieja con el convento de las Clarisas.

OLD BRIDGE (MONFORTE DE LEMOS)

The old bridge or stone bridge of Monforte de Lemos seems to exist already in the 13 th century, but the current temple dates back to the 16 th century, is solid ashlar masonry with sidings on the pillars, connected the old area with the convent of Las Clarisas.
