CASTILLO DE SADABA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Sadaba tiene castillo de planta rectangular, con altas torres almenadas, murallas altas, con aljibe con 3 arcos apuntados (que sostuvieron una bóveda) y construido en sillería; es un castillo muy original, sin torre de homenaje, sin foso y sin matacanes. El castillo andalusí de Sádaba, se data en los siglos XII-XIII.

Sadaba has a rectangular floor castle, with high battlements towers, high walls, with a cistern with 3 pointed arches (which held a vault) and built in ashlar; is a very original castle, without a keep, without a moat and without machicolations. The Andalusi castle of Sadaba, dates back the 12 th ans 13 th centuries.

MAUSOLEO DE LOS ATILII (SADABA)

No menos interesante es el Mausoleo de los Atilio en Sadaba, es una estructura de sillería con 3 frontones que separan 5 cuerpos, todos con una especie de círculo o medallón.

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de San Antón de Tauste (la primera advocación fue la de San Miguel) se remonta al siglo XII, iniciada en piedra se decidió terminarla en ladrillo (románico de ladrillo); mientras la alta torre cuadrada con remate superior octogonal es del mudéjar tardío, de la segunda mitad del siglo XVI.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The church of San Antón of Tauste (the first advocation was San Miguel) dates back to the 12 th century, started in stone, it was decided to finish it in brick (Romanesque brick); while the high square tower with top octagonal finish is of late Mudejar style, from the 2 nd half of the 16 th century.

La iglesia de Santa María de Tauste se construyó a finales del siglo XIII y comienzos del siglo XIV, es de estilo gótico; en el interior tiene una única nave y se cubrió con bóvedas nervadas, con cabecera poligonal; en el exterior destaca la torre campanario de planta octogonal, la influencia almohade es patente (decoración tipo sebca y estructura interior).

The church of Santa María of Tauste was built at the end of the 13 th century and the beginning of the 14 th century, it is of Gothic style; inside it has a single nave and was covered with ribbed vaults, with a polygonal head; outside it stand out the bell tower of octagonal plan, the influence almohad is patent (decoration type sebca and inside structure).

La iglesia de El Salvador de Ejea de los Caballeros, se construyó a inicios del siglo XIII, es de estilo románico tardío; en el interior destaca una nave cubierta por bóveda de cañón apuntada, con cabecera poligonal; mientras en el exterior destaca el aire defensivo, con la torre almenada gótica y la portada románica con arquivoltas.

The church of El Salvador of Ejea de los Caballeros, was built in the early 13 th century, is late Romanesque style; inside, there is a nave covered by a pointed barrel vault, with a polygonal head; while outside stand out the defensive air with the Gothic battlemented tower and the Romanesque façade with archivolts.

La iglesia de San Miguel Arcángel de Biota, es un edificio románico del siglo XII, en el interior destaca su única nave, cubierta con bóveda de cañón apuntada, con ábside semicircular, la sacristía se añadió en el siglo XVII; mientras en el exterior destacan los contrafuertes y dos pórticos del románico tardío.

El horario de verano es los miércoles a las 9:30 y los festivos a las 11:30; mientras el horario de invierno es los miércoles a las 9:30 y los festivos a las 11:30.

The church of San Miguel Arcángel of Biota, is a Romanesque building of the 12 th century, inside we stand out its unique nave, covered with pointed barrel vault, with semicircular apse, the sacristy was added in the 17 th century; while outside we stand out the buttresses and 2 porchs of the late Romanesque.

PALACIO DE BIOTA (BIOTA)

El palacio de los Condes de Aranda de Biota, es una construcción del siglo XVIII, de planta cuadrada, con un torreón adjunto del siglo XII (románico), la fachada principal tiene un frontón triangular, con dos torretas laterales, con ventanas rectangulares.

The palace of the Counts of Aranda of Biota, is a building of the 18 th century, with a square plan, with an attached tower of the 12 th century (Romanesque), the main façade has a triangular pediment, with 2 lateral turrets, with rectangular windows.

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

Tauste se ubica junto a la A-127 que arranca desde la N-232 y la salida 19 de la AP-68, al igual que Ejea de los Caballeros.

A Sadaba se accede por la A-68 (Zaragoza-Tudela) desviarse por Gallur tomando la A-127 que lleva directo a Sadaba.

Para acceder a Biota hay que dirigirse a Sadaba y poco antes veremos el cartel para Biota.

LOCATION

Tauste is located next to the A-127 that starts from the N-232 and the exit 19 of the AP-68, like Ejea de los Caballeros.

Sadaba is located by the A-68 (Zaragoza-Tudela) diverting by Gallur taking the A-127 that takes direct to Sadaba.

To access Biota you have to go to Sadaba and shortly before we will see the signpost for Biota
