		ALCAZABA - BADAJOZ INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA La alcazaba tiene muralla, barbacana (muro más bajo) y foso. Abundan las torres albarranas (torres exentas). Dentro de la muralla Ibn Marwan construyo baños y mezquitas. También dentro se ubica el Museo Arqueológico Provincial. Cronología del siglo XII, (almohade); aunque sus orígenes se remontan al siglo IX. ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS La entrada a la alcazaba es libre, sin horarios, ni entradas. Dentro se ubica el Museo Arqueológico Provincial, cuyo horario es de martes a domingo de 10:00 - 15:00, además el lunes está cerrado. CATEDRAL - BADAJOZ

El templo sin duda, tiene una estética militar (como en Portugal), con planta basilical con 3 naves con cabecera de 3 ábsides, las bóvedas son góticas, la torre cuadrada sobresale del conjunto por su altura

Horario de verano (15 de junio a 15 de septiembre) es de martes a sábado de 11:00 a 13:00 y de 18:00 a 20:00; el horario de invierno es de martes a sábado de 11:00 a 13:00 y de 17:00 a 19:00. Entrada 1 euro.

TORRE DE ESPANTAPERROS - BADAJOZ

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

La torre de Espantaperros es una torre de construcción almohade, se data en el siglo XII, es de planta octogonal los 2 pisos inferiores son macizos y formaba parte del sistema defensivo de Badajoz, sabemos que originalmente tuvo una estructura de arcos entrecruzados en la parte superior, en época cristina se le añadió una estructura cúbica, mudéjar, donde se colocó el campanario.

TOWER OF ESPANTAPERROS - BADAJOZ

The tower of Espantaperros is a Almohad building tower, is dated in the 12 th century, with octagonal plan, the 2 lower floors are solid and formed part of the defensive system of Badajoz, we know that originally it had a structure of crossed archs in the upper part, in the Christian period was added a cubic structure, Mudéjar, where the bell tower was placed.

PUERTA PALMAS - BADAJOZ

Es uno de los accesos monumentales de Badajoz, tiene de 2 gruesas torres cilíndricas coronado con almenas, encima del arco se ubica el escudo de Carlos V, incluso hay una inscripción que data la estructura en (1551).

GATE PALMAS - BADAJOZ

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

It is one of the monumental gates of Badajoz, has 2 thick cylindrical towers crowned with battlements, above the arch is the shield of Carlos V, there is even an inscription dating the structure in (1551).

		ACCESO - BADAJOZ Badajoz se ubica junto a la frontera hispano-portuguesa, desde Madrid es el extremo final de la A-5; en sentido Norte-Sur, la vecina Mérida ubicada en la vía A-66 esta mejor situada, desde allí se accede a la Vía de la Plata, itinerario (León - Zamora - Salamanca - Plasencia - Cáceres - Mérida - Sevilla). La Alcazaba se ubica en el cerro de la Muela, rodeando la antigua villa de Badajoz, con bellísimas vistas de la ciudad del Guadiana. Para los usuarios de sillas de ruedas buena parte del complejo es visitable. La puerta de Palmas esta junto al río Guadiana. La catedral en el centro histórico. ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS Visita factible. En la catedral acceso por una entrada lateral con rampa.
