ARCO DE LA PLAZA – VIANA

El arco de la Plaza de Viana es una de las entradas que tuvo el recinto amurallado de la localidad de Viana, buena parte de las murallas se construyeron en el siglo XIII con Sancho VII el Fuerte para proteger la frontera sur del reino de Navarra, frente a Castilla.

ARCH OF LA PLAZA - VIANA

The arch of la Plaza of Vian is one of the gates that had the walled enclosure of the town of Viana, good part of the walls were built in the 13 th century with Sancho VII el Fuerte to protect the southern border of the kingdom of Navarre, front to Castile.

IGLESIA DE LA ASUNCIÓN – VIANA

La iglesia de La Asunción de Viana es un espectacular templo, de estilo gótico data de los siglos XIII y XIV, son admirables las bóvedas de crucería; pero La Asunción es una gran iglesia con reformas de tiempos posteriores (siglo XVI-XVIII), así la portada sur es renacentista (siglo XVI), culminándose el templo con la sacristía y la sala capitular (siglo XVIII).

CHURCH OF LA ASUNCIÓN – VIANA

The church of La Asunción of Viana is a spectacular temple, Gothic style dates from the 13 th and 14 th centuries, the vaults are ribbed; but La Asunción is a large church with reforms of later times (16 th -18 th centuries), so the south portal is Renaissance (16 th century), culminating the temple with the sacristy and the chapter house (18 TH century).

AYUNTAMIENTO – VIANA

El ayuntamiento de Viana es un bonito edificio, de estilo barroco, tiene 2 plantas y dos torres laterales, un largo pórtico en la primera planta y balcones en la segunda, coronándose el edificio con una aparatoso escudo barroco.

The Town Hall of Viana is a beutiful building, of baroque style, it has 2 floors and 2 side towers, a long porch on the first floor and balconies on the second, crowned the building with a spectacular Baroque coat of arms.

IGLESIA DE S. PEDRO – VIANA

La iglesia de San Pedro (Viana) es un edificio de estilo gótico, datado en el siglo XIII, pero la fachada (barroca del siglo XVIII) y la cabecera (poligonal gótica) son admirables; lamentablemente, se encuentra en ruinas debido a los bombardeos de las guerras Carlistas.

CHURCH OF S. PEDRO – VIANA

The church of San Pedro (Viana) is building of Gothic style, dated in the 13 th century, but the facade (Baroque of the 18 th century) and the head (polygonal Gothic) ae admirable; unfortunately, it is in ruins due to the bombing of the Carlist Wars.

PUERTA DE VIANA - LOS ARCOS

La puerta de Viana (Los Arcos), es la puerta que conducía a los peregrinos a la vecina villa de Viana, junto al río formaba parte del dispositivo defensivo que tuvo el pueblo de Los Arcos.

VIANA DOOR (LOS ARCOS)

The door of Viana (Los Arcos), is the door that led the pilgrims to the neighboring town of Viana, next to the river was part of the defensive device that had the town of Los Arcos.

IGLESIA DE SANTA MARIA – LOS ARCOS

La iglesia de Santa María de Los Arcos, es el edificio más notable, de su origen románico no queda mucho; tiene elementos de estilo gótico como el claustro y la portada, y otros de estilo barroco (capillas interiores y órgano del siglo XVIII).

VISITA : Horario de verano es lunes a domingo (12:00-14:00 y 17:00-20:00) y en invierno de lunes a sábado misas a las 19:00 y domingos y festivos a las 13:00.

CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA – LOS ARCOS

The church of Santa María of Los Arcos, is the most remarkable building, of its Romanesque origin there is not much left; it has elements of Gothic style like the cloister and the cover, and others of baroque style (inside chapels and organ from 18 th century).

VISIT : Summer time is Monday to Sunday (12:00-2:00 and 5:00-8:00) and in winter from Monday to Saturday, Masses at 7:00 pm and Sundays and holidays at 1:00 pm.

SANTO SEPULCRO – TORRES DEL RIO

El Santo Sepulcro de Torres del Río, es un templo de estilo Románico, se data en el siglo XII, para algunos estudiosos podría ser obra de los caballeros templarios; la planta octogonal y la bóveda de nervios gruesos de aire califal, son sin duda algunas rarezas de este curioso templo.

VISITA : Horario de lunes a domingo de 9:00-13:00 y 16:30-19:00 (contacto 666.988.255 y 626.325.691).

SANTO SEPULCRO – TORRES DEL RIO

The Holy Sepulcher of Torres del Río, is a temple of Romanesque style, dating from the 12 th century, for some scholars it could be the work of the Knights Templar; the octagonal floor and the vault of thick nerves of caliphal air, are undoubtedly some oddities of this curious temple.

La iglesia de San Andrés de Torres del Río es un edificio de los siglos XVI-XVII con elementos góticos y renacentistas, dentro sobresalen las bóvedas estrelladas; la portada es de estilo gótico, abocinada y cubierta de un pórtico.

VISITA : El horario de misas en verano es a las 18:00 (laborables) y a las 13:30 (festivos).

CHURCH OF S. ANDRES – TORRES DEL RIO

The church of San Andrés of Torres del Río is a building of 16-17 th centuries with Gothic and Renaissance elements, inside the starry vaults stand out; the facade is of Gothic style, flared and covered with a portico.

VISIT : The timetable of Masses in summer is at 6:00 pm (working) and 17 1:30 pm (holidays).

ACCESO : El acceso a la comarca de la Tierra de Estella se realiza por dos carreteras la A-12 (une Logroño y Pamplona) y mejor aún la NA-1110, que une Los Arcos, Torres del Río y Viana.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS : Acceso factible (San Andrés de Torres del Río, Santa Maria de Los Arcos y plaza del Coso de Viana), hay escalones en el acceso (Santo Sepulcro de Torres del Río, La Asunción de Viana), acceso restringido (ayuntamiento de Viana), acceso exterior (San Pedro de Viana, Puerta de Viana en Los Arcos, y puerta de la Villa de Viana)

ACCESS : Access to the land of Estella region is possible through 2 highways, the A-12 (linking Logroño and Pamplona) and better still the NA-1110, which connects Los Arcos, Torres del Río and Viana.
