CASTILLO (BUÑOL)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Buñol es una construcción que data de los siglos XI-XII, construido sobre los restos de una fortaleza andalusí, el castillo esta separado en 2 sectores por fosos y unidos por un puente; la fortaleza norte es de planta irregular, construida con mortero de cal, con torreones enmascarados por las viviendas, en el centro tenemos la Torre Mayor de sillería; la fortaleza sur albergaba la zona residencial.

Hay visitas guiadas al castillo, organizadas por el Ayuntamiento (647.462.908) por 6€.

The castle of Buñol is a building that dates from the 11 th -12 th centuries, built on the remains of an Andalusian fortress, the castle is separated into 2 sectors by moats and joined by a bridge; the north fortress is irregular in plan, built with lime mortar, with towers masked by the houses, in the center we have a Mayor tower of masonry; the south fortress housed the redintian area.

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Macastre es un castillo medieval construido entre el siglo XI (árabes) y el siglo XIV (cristianos), la muralla ocupa la parte alta de una meseta alargada, es una construcción de sillarejo; conserva dos torres, la mejor conservada se ubica en el sector oeste, también tenia un aljibe y viviendas.

The castle of Macastre is a medieval castle built between the 11 th century (Arabs) and the 14 th century (Christians), the wall occupies the upper part of an elongated plateau, it is a building of rubblework masonry; it conserves 2 towers, the best preserved is located in the west sector, also had a cistern and houses.

ERMITA DE LA VIRGEN (CHIVA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La ermita de la Virgen del Castillo de Chiva es una construcción que data del siglo XVIII; en el exterior destacamos la fachada con acceso de arco de medio punto, frontón triangular y hornacina con la imagen de la virgen, así como la torre campanario; en el interior destaca la bóveda de cañón con lunetos.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de misas es en verano a las 19:00 (domingos) y en invierno a las 17:30 (domingos). Tlf: 962.520.260.

HERMITAGE OF LA VIRGEN (CHIVA)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The hermitage of the Virgen del Castillo de Chiva is a building that dates back to the 18 th century; outside we stand out the façade with access of round arch, triangular pediment and niche with the image of the virgin, as well as, the bell tower; inside we stand out tha barrel vault with lunettes.

TORRE ÁRABE (GODELLETA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La torre árabe de Godelleta, es una obra medieval, que se conserva en buen estado, por sus cimientos se considera que es de origen árabe; formaba parte de una red de atalayas para la vigilancia de la zona.

ARAB TOWER (GODELLETA)

The arab tower of Godelleta, is a medieval building, which is preserved in good condition, its foundations are considered to be of Arab origin; it was part of a network of watchtowers for the vigilance of the area.

ACCESO A CARRETERA (BUÑOL)

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

Buñol y Chiva se ubican en la A-3, para Buñol puedes coger la salida 319, que conduce a Macastre; para Chiva recomendamos la salida 323, por donde se accede a Godelleta.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible al castillo de Macastre (rampa empinada) tampoco podrás entrar dentro del castillo de Buñol (rampas y escaleras); y a la torre de Godelleta (Privado). Pero si puedes acceder a las inmediaciones de Cueva Turche de Buñol (no dentro); podrás entrar en la ermita de la Virgen del Castillo de Chiva (tiene una rampa de acceso).

ACCESS BY ROAD (BUÑOL)

LOCATION

Buñol and Chiva are on the A-3, for Buñol you can take exit 319, which also leads to Macastre; for Chiva we recommend exit 323, where you can also access Godelleta.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED

With Wheelchair access is not feasible to the castle of Macastre (steep ramps) you will not be able to enter in the Buñol castle (ramps and stairs) and the Godelleta tower (Private). But you can access next to Turche Cave of Buñol (not inside); you can enter the hermitage of Virgen del Castillo de Chiva (it has an access ramp).
